Cinderella is one of the most loved of all fairytales.
British Pantomime is a theatrical event fun and suitable for the whole family. It is filled with songs, dancing and very funny acting scenes.
Not to mention the histerical characters that make up the cast. In traditional British Panto, the main female character known as the DAME, is always played by a MAN dressed as a woman. The person who usually plays this role, is a celebrity or a member of the community who is held with high esteem. We are very fortunate to have John Bagust, head of primaries for the Prague British school to play our Dame.
The cast is made up of a mixed group of performers as follows. - Several flying in from the UK joined with professional actors based in Prague for the main roles. Other smaller roles are taken by talented children from International and Czech schools. Aged between 6-18.
Auditions were held in early September when the majority of the Expat community returned to Prague for the start of the school year.
The intention of this was offer talented children and young adults the opportunity to perform in a professional show for the whole community.
The show will be in a 350 seat theatre - 'Divadlo U Hasicu'. It is very accessible by car and public transport. (1 minute walk from Namesti Miru).
Theatre 'U Hasicu' address - Římská 2135/45, 120 00 Praha 2.
